Position Description
We are currently looking for a talented account manager focused on growing revenue for our owned-and-operated inventory including our OTT service, Samsung TV Plus. The individual must be a motivated self-starter responsible for building and growing relationships with advertisers, agencies, and agency trading desks across the country. The right person is equally comfortable partnering with existing customers on an opportunity and driving revenue from new prospects.
The individual must have an understanding of how agency’s plan and buy media and the ideal candidate will have had experience working across programmatic media buying and have insight into agency trading desks, how they trade (i.e. auction dynamics), assign campaign inventory and leverage data to drive better outcomes for their clients.
The individual should have a passion for video, advanced TV, and the rapidly changing way consumers are viewing premium content across all screens. It’s key to have a pulse on how the media agency community is thinking about and allocating client spend to these channels. Key agency stakeholders sit across multiple teams including TV/screens teams, media planners as well as digital and programmatic specialists. This passion and knowledge will fuel the growth of both your and Samsung Ads’ business.
The ideal candidate will have strong, existing agency relationships that extend across a range of roles (i.e. digital specialists, programmatic specialists, media planners and screens buyers), including key senior level contacts. This account executive must be able to think strategically, anticipate how buying decisions are made, uncover the business needs of key clients, and have a proven ability to drive spend. Additionally, they will be a team-player and have the ability to work collaboratively across the sales organization within a fluid and fast paced environment. This position will carry quarterly revenue goals.

Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with named agencies and their trading desks
- Develop a deep technical understanding of the Samsung Ads platform, capabilities, and unique inventory (including Samsung TV Plus and Samsung Galaxy mobile apps)
- Create a plan to build and grow Samsung Ads’ business across named agencies and accounts
- Continuously provide value to your customers and serve as a trusted consultant to drive advertising growth with Samsung Ads
- Monitor daily run rate across assigned accounts and work with product and support teams to troubleshoot any issues
- Act as an internal champion for your advertising customers across Samsung
Background & Experience Required
- 5+ years of industry or relatable experience with a significant portion spent working at an agency, trading desk, or digital sales
- Understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem – particularly in connected TV video
- Proven track record of securing and growing spend from advertisers and agencies
- Successful internal and external relationship management
- Experience working in both entrepreneurial and established corporate cultures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through
- Talent at explaining complex topics in simple terms in person or over the phone
- Bachelor's Degree; MBA or other advanced degree a plus
Preferred Experience
- Experience with selling or using advertising platforms (e.g. Adobe, Amazon, Google, The Trade Desk, or Verizon Media)
- Agency or agency trading desk experience overseeing, implementing, and using advertising technology across a large number of brand accounts
- A strong network and existing relationships across buying and trading teams across multiple agencies

About the Position:
We are currently looking for a talented Financial Accounting Manager focused on managing financial processes and growing revenue across our owned-and-operated inventory including our OTT service, Samsung TV Plus. The Financial Accounting Manager will report directly to the Head of Operations based in Sydney. He/She will provide management oversight and hands on support to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial operations across month-end processes, year-end processes, risk compliance and audit procedures, customer and vendor management, contractual and commercial reporting, lease accounting/asset management and related reporting. Liaising closely with internal Samsung departments such as finance, legal, tax and procurement, this role will help ensure Samsung Ads is achieving desired financial outcomes within approved guidelines.
The Financial Accounting Manager will work from the Australian Head office at Homebush. However, some days he/she will also be working from our Surry Hills office.

Role and Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Manage financial expense related matters for APSBO across SEAU (Australia and New Zealand) + SESP (Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Philippines). This includes
- Month-end tasks, quarter-end and year-end tasks, including expense analysis and reporting to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial performance
- Management and oversight of all month-end accruals, amortisation/ depreciation schedules, in addition to ownership of relevant balance sheet reconciliations
- Own the monthly tracking of company expenses, including supporting various teams and HQ with on time recognition of the departmental expenses as well as generating actuals/forecast reports on tracking against the yearly budget
- Support the resolution of all expenses that require escalation or resolution. This includes invoices and T&E claims where required (and working with SEAU stakeholders to address as required)
- Support and manage the onboarding of APSBO customers and issuing of customer invoices for accurate and on timely revenue recognition. This includes, where required, working with AR staff and streamline processes
- Support and manage the onboarding of APSBO vendors and processing of vendor invoices for accurate and on time expenses recognition. This includes, where required, working with BPO staff and streamline processes
- Subject matter expert on lease accounting related areas, including providing accounting advice on commercial deal and accounting treatment eg journal entries etc. and new business development.
- Management of office expenses and lease/fixed asset schedules
- Support on tax related matters that impact the APSBO business including management of any WHT certificates and/or WHT refunds
- Revenue Management: Responsible for revenue related financials and processes for APSBO including:
- Ensure timely reporting on revenue generation, billing report generation or other reports as required
- Management of late payments and outstanding / late payments
- Management of credit limits and late payments in line with credit insurance policies
- Management of insurance status and related claims on behalf of APSBO
- Other:
- Drive adoption of local best practise to other regions, and support with training as required
- Drive continuous improvement across operations, and assist where required
- Assist with SEAU Finance and/or APSBO Operations leads as required.
Skills and Qualifications
Background/Experience Required:
- Fully qualified CA/CPA accountant
- Fluent in Korean
- 5+ years of finance experience in same industry or relatable industry
- 10+ years Advanced Excel skills including a deep understanding of formulas and macros
- Understanding of the current media landscape, with knowledge of Australia’s digital and CTV advertising space
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, solve complex problems, and navigate large, global organizations
