Job Description

For our client, a premium car manufacturer from China, we are searching for a Remarketing Manager in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The Remarketing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to sell pre-owned vehicles, ensuring maximum profitability and turnover. This position requires a deep understanding of the automotive market, including trends in vehicle resale values, customer preferences, and sales channels. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in automotive sales or remarketing, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to analyze market data to make informed decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development: Develop and execute innovative remarketing strategies to maximize the resale value of pre-owned vehicles.
  • Establish, manage and influence RV setter and data provider relationships in EU region.
  • Support the EU fleet sales team and national fleet sales team in RV and TCO analysis to help win the sales on a timely basis.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of pre-owned vehicles, ensuring a diverse and desirable selection that meets market demand.
  • Pricing Strategy: Set competitive pricing strategies based on thorough market analysis and vehicle condition assessments.
  • Sales Channel Optimization: Identify and utilize the most effective sales channels for different types of vehicles, including auctions, online platforms, and direct sales to dealers or consumers.
  • Collaboration with Dealerships: Work closely with dealership networks to manage the flow of pre-owned vehicles and support their sales efforts.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and the impact of remarketing strategies.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor strategies, and changes in regulations that could impact the resale value of vehicles.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the remarketing process by maintaining quality standards and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as required by the line manager, which may vary according to the needs of the department or organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, specifically in sales, remarketing, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and financial reports to guide decision-making.
  • Excellent negotiation and sales skills, with a proven ability to close deals effectively.
  • Proficient in the use of CRM and inventory management software.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in additional European languages being highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
